compensation by employee to employer

an employee has received salary for 11 months and the same is shown in form 16A but after the period of 11 months, he resigned without proper notice and thus had to a pay a compensation equivalent to 3 months salary as per contract.
how is the effect of compensation to be treated?

Credit for compensation of salary for three months is to be given by previous employer in Form 16A
