private limited company can compulsory for appointment a company secretary if paid up share capital is more than 8 cr

As per section 203 read with rule 8A private companies are required to appoint a whole time CS if paid up capital exceeds 5Cr

AS PER RULE 8A OF APPOINTMENT AND REMUNERATION OF MANAGERIAL PERSONNEL RULES 2014, A PRIVATE COMPANY HAVING THE PAID UP SHARE CAPITAL OF 5 CRORE RUPEES OR MORE SHALL HAVE THE COMPANY SECRETARY. AND THE COMPANY SHALL MANDATORY REQUIRED TO APPOINT THE COMPANY SECRETARY
