My CA has sending me for the audit of a private company. the company manufactures the cloth. this is my first time can u guide me checklist for the documents i should check there?

Suggest better to ask from your employer to provide you proper training before sending for audit any concern.

Audit of manuf. concern especially company require special attention as many laws, acts compliance to be check.

However giving illustrative list of documents & records to be check and taken care of:
1. Sale, purchase, expenses bill files
2. Taxes files
3. Return files
4. Excise, Service Tax, TDS, VAT records
5. Qty Records (OPn, Pur, Consmpt, Sale,
Clo. Stk)
6. Clo. Stock valuation
7. Opn & Clo balances T.B check
8. All points of 3CD
9. CARO Report
10.EPS Calculation (AS-20)
11.DTA/DTL working (As-22)
12.Complaince with Sch. VI of Companies Act
13. etc

Hope that information is sufficient to start audit at the preliminary stage.
