rates are given in schedule-XIV of companies act & method will be ,as per the policy of the company.depreciation will be calculated on pro-rata basis.

SCHEDULE XIV OF COS. ACT STATES THE RATES OF DEP. APPLICABLE FOR VARIOUS ASSETS.
METHOD OF DEP. SHOULD BE PRORATA AND SHOULD BE CONSISTENT UNLESS A COMPANY EXPLAINS THE REASIONS FOR CHANGING THE METHOD OF DEP.
