Quick Summary

If you've filed forms to close your LLP or private limited company and the MCA master data still shows them as active, don't worry too much. It can typically take 5-6 months for the Registrar of Companies (ROC) to process these applications. You can check the status of your filed forms using the MCA's online portal. Once approved, the status should change to 'in process of strike off' before being officially 'struck off'.

03 June 2021 Hey...my ca informed me that he filed from24 and and stk - 2 for closing an LLP and a private llt company, this was done in September of last year, yet when I check the master data at mca it shows both are active...does it usually take this much time?...what should I do to check the status?

03 June 2021 Your CA might have provided you acknowledgements of forms filed.

04 June 2021 As soon as forms are approved by ROC status of company or firm changes from Active to " in process of Strike off". I had filed a STK-2 in December for one of my client and it has been already struck off by ROC and the status is Struck off.
Please do check the same and communicate with your CA.
