28 December 2011 when goods purchased by a manufacturing company they pay freight charges including Service tax. Now I want to know whether this service tax can be adjusted against excise or not. Explain me clearly ASAP with necessary reasons please. Thank You in Advance

29 December 2011 service tax paid on inward transport of "inputs" can be claimed as input credit provided the assesee is not availing benefit of 8/2003 and subject to provisions of CCR 2004
