hai..
I have a business loss for the A.Y 2002-03 filed in time. Where as for the A.Y. 2005-06 it was filed on 30th aug 2006. And i have claimed the loss during the A.Y. 2006-07. Is it necessary that subsequent years returns also has to be filed in time to cliam the unabsorbed loss? Kindly guide me with any case laws.

no , it is not necessary.
it is that assessment year in which loss is incurred, return is to be submitted in time

i rtequest u to give me any section or any case law related to this sir, becuase my ito is disallowing the loss for the same reason. Kinldy help me or u can refer me the Act where i will get the information. i tried in the net also to get the information.
