Hi. My companies previous Auditor has given his Personal Mobile number and email in the Directors KYC and created login credentials in MCA portal. I have updated KYC with the correct mobile number and email ID. But the Login credentials of the directors did not change. What can I do now? That older mobile number and email id are unavailable.

1. DIN KYC Update vs. MCA Login Credentials Updating Director’s KYC (email & mobile) updates the contact details in MCA records. However, the DIN login credentials are separate and tied to the original registered email/mobile used during DIN activation. 2. How to change the Email ID / Mobile number for DIN login? The Director needs to update the mobile number and email in the MCA portal under the DIN dashboard login itself. This can be done by: Logging into the MCA portal using existing DIN credentials. Going to the ‘Profile’ section → Update Mobile/Email. The system will send OTP to the new email/mobile for verification. Once verified, the credentials for login are updated. 3. If Director has lost access to old email/mobile (login credentials unavailable): Use the ‘Forgot Password’ option on MCA portal for DIN login. Since OTP will go to the old mobile/email, this is a problem if those are inaccessible. In such cases: File DIR-3 KYC with correct email & mobile (already done). Then, Director should raise a request to MCA helpdesk (email: helpdesk@mca.gov.in) explaining the situation. Provide proof of identity, updated KYC, and request reset of login credentials to new email/mobile. MCA usually responds with instructions or manual reset. 4. Alternative: Create a new MCA user account linked to the correct email and mobile. Link this new account to the DIN by requesting MCA support or using the 'Associate DIN' option if available. Summary: Issue Solution Updated KYC, but old login persists Update login contact from DIN dashboard (if accessible) Lost access to old email/mobile Contact MCA helpdesk with proof for login reset No access & unable to reset Create new MCA user and associate with DIN
