Quick Summary

Your residential address in Form 26AS cannot be directly edited on the TRACES or Income Tax portal. To update it, you must first correct your address in your PAN records through NSDL or UTIITSL. Once your PAN details are updated, the new address will automatically appear in your Form 26AS.

10 December 2025 My residential address in Form 26 AS was old address. I want to update the present residential addrfess in Form 26 AS. Please enlighten me as to how to update my residential address in Form 26 AS ?

11 December 2025 The address in Form 26AS is not editable directly on TRACES or the Income Tax portal.
It is fetched from the PAN database maintained by NSDL/UTIITSL
To update it, you must correct your address in your PAN records (via NSDL or UTIITSL). Once the PAN database is updated, the new address will automatically reflect in Form 26AS.
