A party want to file income tax return for A.Y. 2014-15 from Jammu instead of Ludhiana. How can his new returns processed at Jammu Income Tax Office. (The ITO at Ludhiana harassing us a lot.) Can we change the address of PAN first. Please advise me.

06 May 2014 yes u need to intimate both the ITO new and old jurisidctional for this purpose.

Can we update the ITD by new PAN issued with Jammu address and file the return for AY 2014-15 at Jammu address after getting the new PAN Card. Can the ITO at Ludhiana create problem in filing the return. Please advise.

15 May 2014 but for safer side its better u write a letter to both ito after u get the new pan card issued at jammu address.

Thanks a lot.

The ITO at Ludhiana harassing on some reasons. He appointed here 6 months back. A more time he is here. He asked the staff to open our cases. Due to this reason my party want to file its return at Jammu. They also have plan to shift to Jammu in near future.

Sir, for our safe side the party avoid the Ludhiana ITO.
