Change in distinctive no of the shares

12 February 2010 Q.1 Can a company change its distinctive no of shares with new one. for example
current distinctive no is 000001-250000. Now can company change it like this
250001-500000 or something else?
Shareholders are same. just no. are changing to merge all odd lots.

So Can company do so and if yes there is any rules for this to comply with it?

12 February 2010 Yes, by passing the resolution in Board Company can change the distinctive number.

Kindly refer Companies (Issue of share Certificates) Rules, 1960. along with Section 84
