If he is an elected chairman for a particular meeting at the time of board meeting then his chairmainship is deemed to be ended at the end of the meeting. If he is a regular chairman of the company then it will be continued after the meeting also.

If there is a provision in the Articles of Association of the company then Chairman can hold position for all meetings but in case there is no provision in the AOA of the company,then Board may elect a Chairman of its meeting and determine the period for which he is to hold office[Clause 76(1) table 'A' (Schedule 1 to the Companies Act,1956].
