06 August 2014 Dear Experts,

What is Certificate of Membership (COM)?
i cleared CA final in May 2012 and i havent received my certificate of membership yet last month i received a communication from the institute regarding convocation for 2014 which states that members who were unable to collect COM in the past years can also collect it now. It wont be possible for me to attend the convocation due to job hours. Can anybody please suggest me whom to approach for the above query.

I also wrote an email to western region of ICAI (my zone) but they do not revert back same is the case when i talk to them on phone.

Request you to provide me with an insight on the above issue.
P.S. I am not a member in practice.

06 August 2014 COM is a proof that you are enrolled as a CA in register of member of ICAI. Until you furnish form for enrollment as member, you will not be a member of ICAI. If you have submitted, you should have get membership no. If no membership no. is received yet, you have to contact the regional office of ICAI (if you have submitted form of membership. if you have not submitted plz submit the same)
Convocation is not mandatory, if you do not have time for the same. your COM will be receive COM by post

07 August 2014 i have enrolled myself as a member and my name has been entered in the register of members with effect from 1st November, 2012. I also received my membership no. in 2012 itself. But i didnt receive any communication from the Institute regarding convocation of 2013 since i didnt attend the convocation, i should have received my Certificate of Membership through post but i havent received the same and now in 2014 i receive an invite for convocation. What should i do to receive my Certificate without attending the convocation.
