02 February 2013 Dear sir,
We are producing an excisable goods and taking cenvat credit on excisable goods.. One input which is non excisable goods say finished goods which is wholly used into excisable goods manufacturing.. And Such finished goods produced in our plant, can we avail cenvat credit on input which used into mfg. Of such finished goods which is non excisable bt totally consume into excisble mfg goods..

06 February 2013 If final product is dutiable and inputs is non-dutiable, cenvat credit will not be applicable on exempted input.

06 February 2013 Sir, my query regarding the intermediate goods which is non excisable and produced in our plant . Such intermedite goods are wholly used into manufacturing of excisable goods.. So can i avail cenvat credit on intermediate goods input material which is dutiable or not.. Appreciate for ur reply sir.

07 February 2013 Yes, you can avail the cenvat credit on production of intermediate goods in relation to excisable goods.
