Cenvat Credit Utilisation

Can a company if it wants may not utilize cenvat credit for a particular month even though it has credit available to be utilized?
If yes why would a company go for not utilizing cenvat credit or how it would be beneficial for the company to pay taxes without utilising cenvat credit ?

As per my understanding. If the company is not wish to utilize Cenvat credit availed against their payable of final product, obviously that company has to pay more duty than the normal situation. The consequence of non-utilization of Cenvat credit will led to increases the cost of product
