Cash payment of stamp duty

31 October 2011 For registering a leave and license agreement, stamp duty amount payable by my NGO is 25,000/- The agent wants me to pay cash. Will the expense be allowed if paid fully in cash? or should i insist on a DD.

31 October 2011 Since payment is being made to government authorities the same should not be disallowed u/s 40A(3).

If DD option is available then the same is advisable.
