As per Sales Order, freight @ Rs. 20.00 per K.G. is paid by the buyer. But actual freight paid to transporter by the seller is Rs. 5.00 Per K.G.
So what is the accounting treatment for Rs. 15.00 (Balance Amount)?
Whether the Service tax on Actual Freight is paid or as per Sales Order i.e. on Rs. 20.00 is paid?

Service tax is payable on consideration received by service render.
If there is no consideration then ST will be nill.
In your case since you have paid Rs.5 as frieght, same is the consideration for service render.
Hence ST is payable on Rs.5/-
