Carpet Area or Super built up

07 October 2021 While under taking renovation of society the committee has suggested contribution from each flat to be collected based on Super / built up area. Is this the right approach when all other contribution like sinking fund, building repairs , property taxes of BMC etc. are done on carpet area which is mentioned in the agreement. Your views on opinion on this.

07 October 2021 Actually, there is no concept like super built up area. It is the sellers/Builders' gimmick.
In actual practice, it is either carpet or Built up.
As per recent rulings, even builders are required to follow carpet area norm.
Societies generally follow carpet area concept for all of their workings.
