21 December 2013 An amount standing to the credit of your capital account at any point of time together with accrued profit till that point is capital invested, however, if you mean capital employed, then the total of balance sheet at any point of time minus any amount of non-realisable items such as balance in profit n loss accounts is the total capital employed in business.
