Me Pacticing as a consultant for service tax .
One of the my clint is providing service of Stock Broker service & as per notification no.31/2009 his service is no more taxable so i want to know the procedure for the cancellation of the Service tax registration.
Please try to reply soon.

Dear Lakhan Ji,
If you have online User ID and Password then surrender ST-2 Online and submitt the follwoings with your Applicable Service tax Range.
1- Two years Service tax Retubrs file before surrendering
2-Current period's Service Tax Return
3-Affidavit business closed and No any liability is due to the assessee.
4-Copy of the ST-2 Surrendered Physically or Online Filed.
5-Deal with Range Officer and destruct the name from Assessee Register.
