Can we Claim ITC

10 February 2021 Dear Sir/Madam,

we are participating in exhibition to promote our product in Chennai, where as we are registered in GST at Telangana State, can we claim ITC for Hotel, Exhibition Stall Charges, Fabrication work done for Stall in Exhibition.

Kindly Guide.

11 February 2021 No you will not be able to claim ITC on such expenses, those expenses will contain CGST and SGST due to place of supply rule. But you registered in Telangana, hence you cannot take. But if any of those expenses were in IGST, you could claim.

If the Exhibition organizing team & the Fabrication agency which prepares the stall for us provides us a bill with IGST instead of CGST & SGST, in such scenario can we claim the ITC.
