Cut(a) order awaited till today.
Can tax demand stay petition be filed with ao now?
My view unfortunately 220(6) only says within 30 days of demand notice..so i can't right?

Yes of course stay petition can be filed now also. In case of application of stay petition there is a rule to pay minimum 20% of demand. If in case you have paid the same or CPC have adjusted refunds of other years against this demand which comes to 20% approx then also you can make the application. If nothing has been paid or adjusted , then also u can file a stay petition and request for monthly EMI option to AO and can ask for grant for stay on the full demand amount till disposal of CIT (A)
