19 February 2013 You can levy VAT before service tax. However , as per my understanding industry levy service tax first and the VAT.

Further, under Maharashtra state, there is one DDQ which state that VAT would also applicable on service tax.

20 February 2013 Can u send me any notification or circular for this.
Actually I had heard somewhere that the central level tax always levy before the state level tax.
so plz guide me on this matter and provide me any document if u have.....
