Can indian company accept usd payment from indian customer

Dear All,
We come to across a situation where my Customer who is in India asking us to accept payments in USD for services given in India. We are registered in India as India Pvt Ltd.

An Indian company can’t accept payment in foreign currency from an Indian Vendor. Please refer to RBI Master Directions in this regard.

can i have the reference link for the same ? since my customer is transferring USD to other indian vendors, they strongly believe that they can do USD transactions between Indian Customer & Indian Vendor.
