Can i receve gift from mother?

Hello, I want know that mother want to gift of Rs. 10 Lac to her son in cash, mother age is about 85, she had cash balance, can she give gift in cash or she should deposit cash to bank and give gift to her son?

Yes she can but it is better to take by A/c Payee Cheque.

If she has any source of income then she has to file for her safety.
