Can cfa exam be given from india while doing articleship?

28 October 2014 I wish to pursue CFA course. But I want to quickly complete both my CA course and CFA course at the earliest .Is it really essential to go to USA for doing CFA? Or can I give the exams from India itself? Please suggest me the correct time to pursue that course (i.e. should it be done while doing articleship or after passing CA final exam) I'm currently preparing for IPCC exam. Hope to hear some replies.

28 October 2014 While doing your articles With the permission of the Institute a student can pursue one course of study at a
time.

A student has to submit application in Form No.112 to the appropriate Regional
Office of the Institute seeking permission to pursue other course.
