If a school chairman or correspondent gets a salary, how much it can be?

If the school is run by charitable trust registered under section 12AA of the income tax. Salary can not be paid to chairman of board of trustees.
in case it is unregistered society or trust salary(reasonable) can be paid to chairman or correspondent considering the surplus from the school. There is no limit
