Campus disappointment

17 September 2010 Sir I am particpating in campus going to be held in Delhi. I cleared all CA exams in first attempt also articalship, But only 3 Companies out of 23 shortlisted me. But some of peoples who passed in 3-4 attempt and there articalship is also poor are shortlisted by more than 12-13 Companies. I am very disappointed. I don't know what is the criteria of selection. And now what I have to do?????

17 September 2010 Is the shortlisting procedure complete? If the same is not finalised there are chances that other companies will select you. Also in the end i think u have option to select only 5 companies. So no need to worry if someone else is getting shortlisted more than you.

Also it could be due to expected salary may be on a higher side than what the companies are ready to pay.

17 September 2010 There is no point going in a disappointed mode. Many companies have specific recruitment policy such as to select few degree lesser than the best, avoiding over ambitious or over energetic candidates. I mean to say ... the companies might be feeling it difficult to retain you for longer duration. These type of things do happen....

But .. don't get disappointed.. some better & bigger opportunities might be coming your way.
