Can someone help me with calculating log to the base 2 on a normal calculator

you need to have at least a simple yet SCIENTIFIC calculator to fond out log of all figures...
(Simple log in the multiples of 2 can be found out but not the rest.... e.g. log of 8 to the base 2 is 3 OR log of 16 to the base 2 is 4 and so on......but what about log of 3 to the base 2......for this you need at least simple scientific calculator)
