mr.y is an employee of abc p ltd, draws a salary of rs490000 and has income from fixed deposite with bank of rs 10000
qu. is- whether ROI is to be filed?

Yes Mr. Y is required to file ROI, as he is receiving FD interest which is not exempt.Notification for non filing of return for salaried employee will not apply here as it was for such employees who has only salary income upto Rs.5 Lakhs and interest on SB interest upto Rs.10000.
