13 July 2011 Does A CA (India) holding Practice certificate need to surrender it while shifting to USA on H4 visa ? and what is the exact procedure to be followed while shifting ?

13 July 2011 It depends on you but the COP in USA is issued on the basis of the degree of the ICAI and hence in my opinion you have to continue as a member of the ICAI.

13 July 2011 You should intimate the ICAI about your address change, Change in nationality, if any etc. I do not think that you need to surrender your COP while moving to USA on H4 visa

13 July 2011 Thanks a lot for your reply sir, i have some more questions if i do not surrender it:
1) whether it will affect my continuity as Associate/ will i be a full time COP holder
2) Can i sign a tax/vat audit report when in India
3) CPE hours requirement 30 or 10 hrs per year
