09 March 2013 could anyone please tell me that whether i will be allowed to have full time certificate of practice if i apply for it ...but currently i m engaged as a lecturer in a college on full time but on contractual basis.

though i have applied form 2 for membership but now how to apply for full time c.o.p and want to know whether the institute will allow me to have engaged as lecturer on full time basis and also provide me C.o.p.

whether i would be able to do attest function as i m engaged as a lecturer on full time basis( exactly 4.30 hours )but on contractual.

would it make any difference if it is part time.. ?

09 March 2013 Dear Purvi,

you are allowed to apply for COP and provide attestation services provided that your involvement as a lecturer doesn't exceed 25 hours per week.

09 March 2013 thank you but i am working on full time basis and though my lecture hour does not exceed 25 hours per week , so would i be able to do attest function with full time practice??

10 March 2013 Dear Purvi,

ICAI regulations only state that you are allowed to have an "Engagement as Lecturer in an University, affiliated college, educational institution, coaching
organization, private tutorship, provided the direct teaching hours devoted to such activities taken together do not exceed 25 hours a week"

Given the above, you should be eligible. However, it would be appropriate for you to seek clarity from regional office in this regard.
