1.Can any one tell me what is the check list of Bank Reconciliation statement?

2. Is there possible to make frauds by way of bank reconciliation statment by company or other assesee?

3. is Missing cheques no. is important consideration is it right?

14 July 2010 In my practical view

a .Pls check the reco prepared by the acountant
b. than check the bank transactions with Bank Statement so as to verify that standing entries in reco are actually standing. Also check the long outstanding entries in BRS.
c.this preocess may be done through tally if the records are so maintained.
2. YAA I have got a very recent instances of fraud by not preparing BRS/or wrong preparation of BRS.
3.Yaa check through Bank statement wether the issued check are actaully of the same amount as entered in the Books. Missing Cheque no in our Books is not a good sign
