bringing machinery under epcg scheme

17 January 2017 Some unit gets permission to bring machinery under epcg scheme, but do not inform excise authorities whether actually machinery brought or not even after 6 months. is it okay under custom rules and epcg scheme

21 January 2017 An EPCG Authorization holder within 6 months from the date of completion of import is required to submit a certificate from the jurisdictional central excise authority or an independent chartered engineer to the licensing authority that had issued the Authorization. Moreover once production commences the central excise authorities will come into picture.
