what is the diffrence between goodwill and brand pls reply

Basis of calculating both is different.
Brand is valued on a % of turnover and is benchmarked with industry parameters.
Goodwill is the residual value in the computation. It is that portion of DCF value which cannot be valued or identified seperately.
In layman terms, it is future profit for whihc an entity pays but it is not assured.
