Bonus amount is a taxable income?

My self Yatrik kapadia
I want to clarify the matter regarding the Bonus declared by company.
As per our company policy we get Bonus amount along with salary of Sep'11 where as the bonus amount is fix and part of our CTC.
and company have credited last year bonus amount with this month salary and deducted the income tax on that amount.
Pl. let me know weather the Bonus amount is taxable on not!

In which case bonus amount is tax free.Because in my previous job the company declared Rs.8400/- fix every year and not included in form-16 that's why the question come in my mind.

As per Income Tax Act Salary includes bonus

hence taxable .
