Biggest mistake in itr for ay 2014-15

02 August 2014 Dear Experts,

I have filed ITR 2 for a client for AY 2014-15 but the date of filing shows as 01/08/2014.

Also,due to some error in the Utility,LTCg @10 % and a big amount involved has been skipped.

I am not able to revise the return also and want to offer the income for tax.

Please guide me what can be done.

It is urgent.

03 August 2014 1. Donot submit your signed ITR-V acknowledgement form to CPC , Bangalore for assessment. After 120 days , your submitted IT return will be deleted as U have not submitted the ITR-V signed acknowledge for evaluation.

or Ask for a rectification request on IT website .

After 120 days , you can file fresh return off line with all corrections which u missed.

BUt my query still remains that Should I approach the A.O or CIT for adding the income to the return.

Also, Rectification request requires a CPC number for reference.

25 September 2014 Dear, I am also not come across this kind of problem. But I am sure when your signed ITR-V is not received from CPC then this uploaded return is incomplete and you need to file manually upto march 2015. This is the only way I know, you can revise the return.
