For selecting articles do big 4 conduct written test? Also what is the interview like? Are there many stages to the interview or just one?

there are atleast 2 stages...HR and technical rounds...there can be additional stages depending on number of applications. I was interviewed by EY 7 times!!
how it is like...totally depends on interviewer...your interview can be anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour! and questions can vary from movies to international taxation/IFRS.
Your approach should be simple...answer what you can...wherever in doubt, caveat your answer, wherever you are blank, clearly say that you don't know.

usually there is HR round,Mock interviews,sometimes they do take written test,Group discussion (GD)then panel interview...but it all depends on the job profile u have applied and what is their internal policy.
