As per Section 139(4) belated return can be filed
(1)before completion of one relevant assessment year or
(2)before completion of assessment
whichever is earlier.
My query is what is the assessment talked about in the second point..how can assessment be done even if return is not filed?

2nd type of assessment mean assessment done by officer....if return not filed they can still do best judgement assessment
