Dear all,
i have some doubt about can i issue ch behalf of proprietor name. one of the contractor done work his foirm name XXX but he asking cheque his name YYY, is it eligible for audit

If the work is done by a Firm and the firm is asking cheque to be issued in Mr.X's name, then you should ask the Firm to write an official letter to do so. Also get a letter subsequently saying that the cheque issued in Mr. X's name has absolved the company from its liability and the company does not owe any more liability to the firm towards the contract done.
