30 June 2015 Sir, we are manufacturer of any item, in which we are printing MRP Rs. 10.

ITEM NAME : PAPER BAGS (TARIFF HEADING 48194000)

I want to know that can we sale this item in lower price (Basic i.e. Rs. 5)to any distributor.

NOTE : WE ARE ALSO REGISTERED IN EXCISE.

30 June 2015 It is not possible. If distributors are change the MRP then liability of excise duty will be create on ditributors.

30 June 2015 But Sir, MRP only for consumer. Then how can we sold our item to distributor on Rs. 10.? Can we charge basic rate Rs. 10 and give discount on bills 50% or 40% before charge Excise duty & other taxes?

How much % of Discount (Maximum), can we give in our Bills on MRP Printed Paper Bags?

Tariff Heading 48194000.

03 July 2015 If you will not put the MRP on the goods then you can clear the goods on transaction value. MRP is mention in the goods then after abatement you need to cleared the goods. any doubt consult with any professional.
