BANK ACCOUNTS IN E-FILING SITE

20 March 2023 Today When i logged into E-Filing site i observed that in bank accounts it is showing as "Restricted refund" after validated & EVC enabled. This was showing recently. looks like a new change. But what does restricted refund mean. Will we get refund in such cases.

20 March 2023 There can be many reasons for the flagging of account. The exact reason may be known from ITD helpline. One of the reasons can be the account might have become 'inoperative' in nature, may be locked by your bank. Or there can be minor mismatch in data as per ITD and Bank data. Check the status of the account at your bank branch level and get it changed to data as per ITD data.

20 March 2023 The reply is not correct .Bank account with pension credit and also regular withdrawls are being shown as "restricted refund. Reply says account may be in-operative shows lack of knowledge on the subject.
