Balance sheet under preparation

26 July 2013 One of our PSU clients having their accounts/audit in arrears for past 5 years has not filled income tax return as Balance sheet of the same was not finalized.

Now they have received Income Tax Notice for non-filling of return.

Returns can't be filed even now as Balance sheets are still not finalized.

Please guide how best can we reply to the notice.

26 July 2013 it is better to prepare bal sheet by hiring suitable person as lot of problems will be created by dept if u now delay more.

prepare all bal sheet and fie itr as soon as possible.
