dear sir i have formed co on feb 12. i have not yet filed returns in income tax nor in roc. pls suggest whether i can file return for entire 13 months under income tax act or not. as there is prov in roc to file return for period of 13months. pls provide me with best solution.

No in Income Tax U have to file ur return for Financial year basis means year starting from 1st April and ending on 31st March.
U have formed co in Feb-12 so ur Fin year is 2011-12. U have to file ur return for the year ending on 31-3-12,Assessment year 2012-13, on or before 30-09-12 or belated return on or before 31-3-14.

thank you sir. but sir is it fine if i file income tax balance sheet march ended 31st March 2012 and for roc for 13 months ended 31st march 2013.
