17 January 2013 hi.i have recently given my ipcc exams in nov 2012 ..i would like to start preparations of my ca final exams a.s.a.p..will it be a good idea considering the sylabus keeps on changing with ammendments..also which authors shd i refer to for ca finals and how shd i go about studing subject wise

17 January 2013 Its better you wait for your results and then take a call. There are a few subjects for which the syllabus does not change much. Cost and SFM are 2 such subjects that you can start right away.

17 January 2013 I think Paduka publications are good for self study Students. You can also start with the study material of ICAI, pdf copy of which is always available free of cost at BOS website. This will provide u some idea how the things are to be in future.
Note: whatever amendments are there , generally these are never more than 10% of syllabus, so
one is always sure of remaining 90%.
