Statutory Auditor is Mandatory to Appoint but Appointment of Internal Auditor is voluntary/Optional

refer section 138 few prescrined class of compnaies need to mandatory appoint internal auditor and all companies need to appoint statotury auditor as per sec 139 of companies act 2013.
