Auditor appointment when not ratified

As per section 139, appointment of auditor shall be ratified at every agm. I want to know, what will be the result if ratification is not been done in any agm by the members through ordinary resolution.

then the auditor shall not be the auditor for the compnay for a particular fy in which he is not ratified.
