Scepticism - a sceptical attitude; doubt as to the truth of something.
It means that you don't have to blindly accept everything as the truth. In auditing , the context is of professional scepticism, so while performing the duties of auditor you need to be sceptical (only professionally) and try your best to get to the true and fair view by checking and verifying the facts diligently.
