Is audit of NGO compulsory or not if yes in which circumstances and conditions applicable.

Audits are required for public trusts under trust laws
or as files formed under the Societies Registration Act
or as companies ed under of the Companies Act 1956.
The act itself requires the NGO receiving a foreign contribution to get books of account audited by chartered accountants.
