01 August 2010 So far there is no prescribed qualification to be an internal auditor.

To my knowledge; the private limited company cannot perform internal audit because audit and consultancy are altogether different things.

Recently; the provisions of LLP have been introduced to form consultancy firms as capacity building firms of multiple functions of accountancy, auditing, company law matters etc.but they cannot act in the form of Private Limited Company.
